Proffit Ranch Quarter Horses

With tried and true foundation bloodlines, beautiful color, good bone and a great mind, we've got the colt for you. They are athletic and make great roping, cow cutting, reining, performance, 4-H, halter, trail or pleasure horses. At a recent local ranch rodeo competition we were pleased to see that the winning teams in divisions such as working cow horse, team doctoring and team branding were mounted on colts that were purchased from our horse sale.

EL DORADO Z BAR has been ridden, roped off of and used as a cow horse on the Z-bar ranch. He is gentle and calm and a favorite colt around the Z-bar ranch.

PICK A ROAN Z BAR is a beautiful green broke red roan mare. Picker has been ridden, roped off of and used as a cow horse on the Z-bar ranch. She is athletic and shows promise as a top notch reining, cow-cutting or rope horse.

HATARI Z BAR is a mare with interesting color. She has been ridden for a couple of months now and is coming along very well. She comes from long line of horses that could walk the socks off of anybody. With Poco Pine, King, 3 Bars and Whimpy through Flamingo Pine in her pedigree, we are excited about this mare's potential.

SASSY SOUIX OSPEAR is a 3 year old filly. Out of Poco Prom, by our small buckskin stallion, Showdown Twice, we are excited by what this horse will be. She is halter broke.

CHOCTA CHILE OSPEAR is a 3 year old red dun mare. She moves really nicely and is smooth. She is smart with her feet and gentle and respectful. She is halter broke and will have some time under saddle by sale time.

CHIC'S SUGAR DOC is a 6 year old red roan mare. Chic is a pleasure to ride and is one year into her training. She is smooth, very intelligent, quick and nimble and smart with her feet. She is very cowy and is able to perform excellent roll backs and is responsive. She is a great traveler, with a nice extended trot. She is very alive, tries hard to please, is very soft mouthed and flexes nicely. Chic has incredible potential as a cutting or reining horse, or all around stock horse.

HARDLUCK LEVIDOSIDOS is a five year old buckskin gelding. His mother, Cold Deck, was a favorite among the Proffit kids. Hardluck was her last foal. He has been ridden and is ready to continue his training with you. This is an old photo of him.

TOKIANO BENJI is a six year old blue roan mare. She is green broke, gentle and has been ridden and roped off of. She comes from the Hancock line and with some more training should ba a great all-around horse.

POCO PEPPY LEVIS is a green broke brown gelding. His sire, Faded Levi O Spear, is an interestingly colored roan buckskin and is the preferred saddle horse of Clint Proffit.

FOXY LADY OSPEAR is a beautiful 4 year old red roan mare by Edge on Jack. She is an eye catcher with a nice hip, keen head, classic quarter horse build and look. She is smart and very responsive.

JACK POT ZBAR is a 4 year old sorrel mare. She is from the Thirsty line out of Leo and Poco King line. These horses have been really good travelers. JP is alert and responsive, but not spooky. She is very smarat, gentle, respectful and moves out well. We are excited by this colt because of her natural instincts as a cowhorse. As a yearling colt she would sort and move cattle in the corral by herself. She is halter broke and will have some time under saddle by sale time.

CRACKER JACK OSPEAR is a 4 year old dun mare. CJ is a beautiful mare with good size who is smart and responds quickly. She comes from a line of good travelers. She is smooth moving and smart with her feet. CJ is halter broke, but will have some time under saddle by sale time.

HAMSFORK NATIVE ROCK is a 3 year old red roan gelding by Faded Levi. He was started last year and is continuing his training this year.

VP HARDTWIST HANCOCK is a broke mare. Her sire is a beautiful blue roan stallion that we used for several years, Sparkler Hancock. Her dam is Little Golden Toy.
